08 Mar Alchemy Writers’ ✍️Retreat Update!

For those signed up for or interested in the Alchemy Writers’ Retreat with authors Nicole Baart, Kimberly Stuart, and I, please read on! ?

We are so eager to meet you all, work with you all, and help you continue your pursuit of your writing dreams. Alchemy is one of our favorite dreams, one that will connect you to the three of us, to each other, and to industry professionals who can spur on the hopes and plans you have for your work.

The very heart and soul of Alchemy is seeing your faces and walking alongside you as you dig into how to get your words on paper. While lots of folks have pivoted to Zoom and other online platforms, that avenue is just not the right fit for what we want to do. We want to be with you in person and in spirit. We want to linger over a glass of wine on the patio while we learn about who you are and what you want out of this writing life. We want to take our time over hot fudge sundaes and nerd out about dialogue and character arcs and sticky plot points.

Nerding out is distinctly lame on Zoom.

So we have made the tough decision to postpone Alchemy to Summer 2022. We want everyone to feel as safe as possible when we gather, and we don’t want anything to get in the way of you being able to join us. This delay is not what we wanted, but we are confident it’s the right choice for the current season.

We would love for you to mark your calendars for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, June 10-12 of next year. Alllll the details to come. (Not on our list?
